Let me start off this week’s addition with a big HI to all! Being that today, June 12th, is National Just Say HI Day. At the club it seems like very day is National Just Say HI Day as I always see members saying Hi to everyone the meet, making Park Hill one of the friendliest places in the world. Today take an extra effort to say Hi (Or Howdy, Hiya, G;Day, Salutations or one of the 102 other ways to say Hi) to everyone you meet today.
Onto the events of the Week.
POOL:
The hot weather is upon us and while we have yet to start our Post School everyday schedule, the Pool Committee has shown its Gumby-Like flexibility by opening the pool today AND Friday at 3 PM as well as the standard Saturday and Sunday hours. The Bar committee followed suit, like Gumby’s faithful companion, Pokey, and opened the members lounge as well. So cool off from this early June heat wave with a dip in the pool and a cool refreshment.
TENNIS:
Ladies' Round Robin this Saturday, June 14 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Today is the last day to RSVP for this fun event, so dig out that old Evite e-mail and join the fun.
Sunday Fun Round Robin: Don’t forget to e-mail parkhillracquetclub@gmail.com before Noon on Saturday to sign up for the 4PM event.
Our three tennis teams continue to battle in their respective divisions and this week; two out of the three teams have home matches. Come on by the club Saturday (6-14) at 11:30 to cheer on the Smooth Division as the battle Orienta Beach Club or on Tuesday (6-17) to root for our currently third place MITL team as they take on Fox Meadow. Our Sticky Division team is on the road to the County Tennis Club on the 17th, so send wishes of a good match to them from afar.

Not only can you reserve courts there is also a tab at the bottom if you are looking for a game, Just put the day and times you are looking to play and you are sure to get a players to join you. And there is always DROP IN WEDNESDAYS from 6 to 7:30 PM, sign up on the sheet.
Member’s Lounge:
Our wonderful Member’s Lounge is getting into its summer groove. In addition to being open today and Friday at 3 PM it will be open all next week starting at 3PM. So if it is for an after a grueling tennis match, a long day at work, or just an opportunity to share some time with your fellow members, let our trio of mixologists, Vinny, Vivian and Anthoney, serve you up some wonderful libations.
NOT THIS WEEK BUT COMING INTO VIEW SOON:
The annual Bowling Awards Dinner will be held in the club lounge on Thursday, June 19th.
New Members Welcome Cocktail Party Friday June 20th.
Men's and Women's Competitive Singles Tournament Saturday, June 21
A second Kid’s Art Day, Friday June 27th.
