  • 2009-10 Bowling Season off to a great start

    13 of the 17 09-10 bowliers showed up for this year's organizational meeting at the club Tuesday night (10/13).

    There was a practice session, and then the team captains picked their rosters for the season.

    Every Sunday is Bowling Day.  Our Members’ Lounge opens each Sunday afternoon.  Use this time to bowl – with or without the kids!  Just check in with the bartender to get the lanes open.  Fees are cheap:  $5 an hour.  A fun, active afternoon at a low price.

  • Bowling Awards Dinner

    Our annual Bowling Awards Dinner, held in May, brought around 16 people to our Members’ Lounge to share congratulations and “a nice sandwich”.  Bowlers prepaid the dinner fee, which took all the stress out of planning the event.  Team awards were given out:  Joe Schwarz’s team got 1st place, Fred Feldman’s team got 2nd, John Wallen’s 3rd, and Paul Cecere’s team got 4th place.  A number of individual awards – High Game, High Series, Most Improved, etc. were given out as well.  The annual Doubles Tournament was won by Paul and Joe.  We thank Jon Wallen for running another great season and party.  Special thanks go to Bob Reape for divvying up the awards, and for drawing up his trademark hand-made spread sheet for our tournament!

  • Doubles Bowling Tournament

    This year's Doubles Bowling Tournament brought 6 teams to compete; two 4 game sessions were played.  The results: 

    • 1st Place - Paul Cecere&Joe Schwarz
    • 2nd Place - John Cassidy & Todd Ruben
    • 3rd Place - Karen Lorence & Steve Savard
    • 4th Place - Ralph Farina & Deane Prouty
    • 5th Place - Bob Reape & Jon Wallen
    • 6th Place - April Feldman & Fred Feldman

    We thank Jon Wallen for another year as Bowling Chairman. 

  • Bowling Orientation

    Jon Wallen is holding another Bowling Orientation session on Sunday April 26th at noon (following the Pancake Breakfast).  Come and learn the ins and outs of opening and closing the lanes, removing a pin, getting a stray ball back, clearing a jam, etc.  Questions?  Contact Jon Wallen: jwall41@aol.com.
