New Year's Brunch 2010
Approximately 40 people including children turned out to nurse their hangovers (the kids had sugar withdrawal to recover from) at the Park Hill Racquet Club's second annual New Year's Day Brunch.
Patty Schumann and Steve Savard competed in the Bloody Mary contest with Patty Schumann coming out on top for the second year in a row, although the judging was done by Patty.*
The Cartoon Network ran a Looney Tunes marathon and this kept all the children and quite a few adults amused for hours.
As usual, the dish-to-share concept proved to be successful with tons of delicious, primarily egg based, food enjoyed by all.
Thanks to the professional bar tending of Patty Schumann with Robert Moment serving as her bar back, the drinks flowed freely and the club made a few dollars.
Many of our adult members were observed drinking water or fruit juice, possibly reflecting the amount of partying they did the night before.
As no camera was available this report will have to serve as the the "official" record of the event.
Robert Moment
*Note from Patty Schumann: I agree with Robert's report except the part about the BM contest; I think it was a tie.
*Note from Steve Savard: I think Robert was thinking Patty won because technically I didn't enter. I entered the house mix into the contest. I agree though, it was pretty much a tie. The people who liked them spicy preferred the house mix, and the others preferred Patty's.
