MITL 2010 Season Recap

Our Women’s MITL Team ended their eight week season with a final tally of 13 wins and 15 losses.  Not fabulous, but good enough to stay in Flight C-3 for next year.  We’ve been fortunate to add a couple of new players to our roster and to field four teams for every match but one.  Captain Daphne Romeo with the help of Co-Captain April Feldman were relied upon to handle all the details – confirming with captains, setting teams, organizing snacks, and mainly keeping an eye on the sky (and their fingers crossed) every Monday night that the courts would be dry and playable the next morning.  We’ll miss the emails (both pre and post game) with all the words of wisdom and support from Daphne each week.  Her positive attitude is contagious.  Only Daphne could find a way to congratulate you – even if you lost your match!  Well, we may not be the best team, but we’re definitely the nicest.  Kathryn Buckley, Angela Lee Chen, Donna Dolan, Colette Dominicus, Jill Feldman, Patty Gamba, Katherine Haas, Mary Liberatore, Susan Moscou, Dana Olin, May SooHoo, Daphne and April all participated in at least one match this season.  They wouldn’t let Wendy play with us because she’s too good!  We appreciate her support and her coming to watch us.  Rosemary, Carole – we missed you both – wait till next year!  Thanks so much to Daphne and April.  Now, when’s the team dinner?
