Tennis
Tennis Season – begins the first week in May (weather permitting) through the first frost (generally in November). Courts open daily at 9 AM (weather permitting) and stay open until dark. Detailed sign-up rules, as well as general tennis etiquette, are posted at on the front porch. Basic procedure: sign-up on the clubhouse board (first come/first served) for one hour’s court time. If there are no players waiting, court time is unlimited.
Tennis Lessons – The Racquet Club employs a USTA certified teaching pro who provides both individual and group lessons for adults and children. We have a twice-weekly children’s tennis camp.
Tennis Tournaments – Three competitive tournaments are held each summer; mixed doubles, women’s and men’s doubles and singles. These are adult tournaments, but strong teen players participate as well. Fun tournaments are held on Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July and Labor Day weekend. Experienced players are paired up with novices to evenly match teams. Emphasis is on meeting other players and having a good time. Family tournaments have been popular in the past and may be revived this year if families are interested.
Team Tennis – Interested players sign up and are placed on one of 4 (or more) teams. Mini-matches are played with points accumulated each week until one team is declared the winner at the end.
Round Robin Play – is held on Sunday mornings during the summer. Players show up; teams are randomly selected; one-set matches are played.
Interclub League Play – The Racquet Club is a member of the MITL (Metropolitan Interclub Tennis League). We currently have a women’s “C” level team which competes each Tuesday for the months of May and June. Four doubles teams play home and away matches.

Members’ Lounge
Relax with friends in the comforts of home. Our Members’ Lounge has become a respite for Racquet Club members to hang out on a couch or on a padded barstool! It is open to members daily during the active season, from 6 PM on weekdays and from 12 noon on weekends and holidays. It is the hub for most of our club's evening parties - Karaoke, Movie Night, Trivia Parties, holiday gatherings and pot luck suppers.
During the cooler months the Members' Lounge is open on Tuesday evenings and on Sundays from 12 noon where football, tennis tournaments and other sports are viewed on our projection screen. Opening and closing hours vary as seasons and activity dictate.
