June 2010 Tennis News

The 2010 season has us experiencing a marked increase in court use, especially by new members and new players who have definitely “gotten the bug”!   Dorota, Liz, Angela, and Kristen can be found each Tuesday night out on the front porch having a cold one after one of Cleary’s clinics.  Sunday Round Robin brings players out of the woodwork – even in the noonday heat – for a guaranteed game.  It has been a wonderful way for our tennis enthusiasts to get to know one another better.

Our pros have been busy as well.  Both Kirill and Kirill, Jr. have been teaching private lessons to people – especially the men – to hone their games.  Everett and his assistant James have held their first 4-lesson installment of Quickstart clinics to the little ones.  Twelve children attended the two sessions.  Now we are introducing Pat Rogers, a well-known veteran at Yonkers Indoor.  He will be teaching every Friday afternoon.  To contact Pat, Cleary or any of our pros go to our website: www.parkhillracquetclub.org under the “TENNIS” tab for information.
